Foreign Policy: Eastern Hemisphere

Israel: Ok so the Israelis and Palestinians have been fighting for what seems to be forever and those smart enough to realize it know it’s not going to stop anytime soon. Also what you have though is all these Islamic countries that want to destroy Israel because they took the Palestinian land. Personally I think Israel won its land just like every other country does, by winning wars, so they don’t need to bow down to any demands. The proper solution in this case is for Israel to say “Hey, if you want a Palestinian state your donating land too.” Israel is obviously the strong one here why should they do all the work for the Palestinian State?  First the Palestinian need to organize their armies so the Israeli government doesn’t always have to blame the Palestinian government who may actually want to work towards peace. Second Israel Should put down a reasonable line for themselves that will be the farthest the settlers may go, with harsh punishment if it is crossed. Next Egypt should give up land in the Sinai Peninsula to go for the people of the Gaza Strip they love so dearly and Jordan should donate to the Palestinians in the West Bank. Then with a stable government and making it so Israel doesn’t have to make all the sacrifices, Palestine can become a nation.

Russia: Did Russia really have any right to attack Georgia? Absolutely not! They said that the Georgian government wasn’t treating South Ossetia and Abkhazia right and should let them break away. Well lets talk about Russian keeping territories under its grasp. Chechnya, Dagestan, and the Kurnil Islands (the last is claimed by our ally Japan) have been under Russia’s tight grip for a very long time. I mean personally if Russia wants to give support to rebels in our ally nation of Georgia why don’t we help the Muslim freedom fighters in Chechnya? Muslims are some nice people and they don’t want to be under Russian rule but they have to be. Russia is just acting like the worlds bully.

Somalia: Somalia has had a corrupt unstable government for as long as I can remember. Just recently they have been in the news for Pirate attacks; they need a strong powerful government. Perhaps Sharia? That’s right, Islamic rebels have been surging across the country taking town after town. I believe that if they take power they can use Islamic law and the ordered military they are using now to take control of that nation. I even believe that the U.S. should support them. It shows that America is NOT against Islam and DOES support law and order in the world. It’s a nearly flawless plan.

Iraq: Pull out and watch its economic and political downfall like Germany after WWI, or stay in a risk losing more lives and money to a nearly endless dispute? Neither. What we need to do is divide Iraq into small sectors based on population, economic stability, and amount of conflict. Then we only send support and troops to the zones they are needed and give the other zones COMPLETELY to Iraqi control. Of course the zones with our people will be NATO and Iraq power, but it gives the Iraqis a chance to feel real power and know that we are trying to get a job done. Also with this plan, we can slowly pull out as needed and let Iraq do its own thing.
